Great video, Doug! There's a really good shadow view on the fuselage of the camera and the mount at 1:38.
Thanks for the ride :yo:

Very, very cool! But please clear up my curiosity: Do you have three cameras mounted? Or did you do three flights. One with a with right mount, one with a left mount and one mounted below?

Thanks Glenn
I try to edit those shots out so you can't see the shadow of the mount and the camera but some of the scenes are just to beautiful to edit.
Wonderful video, that was really great.

Thanks Kai

I used just one camera. The left and the right was easy, in the editing software you can flip the scene so it looks like the camera is on the right side. But if you look close the writing is reversed, you just hope the viewers don't notice it. The below shot was a second flight... (about a week later) it was not as sunny that day, so I had to brighten up those shots in color to make them match the first day.
I hope to have a second GoPro shortly, they do a great job.
Thanks for watching.

Very nice videos Doug. Stan
Great video, I really enjoyed the low level aspect, and watching what your shadow did as you roved around!

Nice video Doug, thank you. About shadows, does anyone see a halo around theirs? And why?

Lee- I have noticed a halo around my shadow on the ground at times a couple miles away. It is caused by moisture directly reflecting light back to the sun. Its a very narrow angle of reflection and you are dead on looking at your shadow and seeing this narrow field of reflection. If someone was flying behind you at a distance, they will nots see your halo but will see their own. Stan

Ahh sooo, It is actually a reflection of the orb of the sun. Makes sense now that I think about it.

The shadows I think I saw that maybe once or twice.

Flying low in big open fields you get to see a lot of wildlife. After the deer shot almost towards the end of the video you can see a coyote running to the right from the chicken farm on the other side of the tree line. He's a big one, looks like he's got some chicken fat on him. (5.09)

Doug- when the sun is shining, the halo is there. Asa long as your shadow is on the ground, even a few miles away wth a low sun angle. Stan

Great video, Doug. Will you be bringing some EMT and a bender to the flyins now to make custom camera mounts?

Those camera mounts are a little involved. A lot of trial and error goes into each one...
I look at it as a learning process. I never thought it would be steady enough for video.
I think a lot of it has to do with the GoPro.
