Hi guy's,

I was intrigued to see some photo's on here of some people who have built Dominator's using bicycle wheels for both the main and front wheels and also using the brakes and suspension from a bike.
Can anyone tell me how they worked out, and if there were any problems.

Thanks

Barry

I think that is a design that Carl Snider uses. And instead of calling them Dominators, I have always heard them call Carlinators.
In my opinion, a large diameter wheel will give a smoother ride over rougher ground or fields; Puttine a side load on a bike wheel is not real great but you do not land with side loads anyway, so they work very well.
I use Wheelbarrow wheels on my Bensen, with about 15 pounds of pressure, the tires are a little spongy, it provides for a smooth ride

An open, spoked wheel that big adds drag, and it's added in the worst possible place (down low) relative to CG. But the Dominators also have their thrustlines below CG, so there should be some mitigating effect.

I'd be more concerned to see bike wheels added to a KB3...
