The Chapter 56 (Peach State Rotor Club) December meeting is traditionally one of the best and most well-attended. We will meet on the East side of Richard B. Russell Airport at the EAA facilities. This year's meeting/fly-in will be Saturday, December 3, 2011.
There is an unpaved entrance to the airport is off Old Dalton Road on Higgins Drive. Arriving from the North, it is best to turn South on Old Dalton Road off highway 140. Arriving from the South (on Martha Berry Highway (highway 27)), it is best to turn North on Old Dalton Road just beyond the Mount Berry Mall.
Expect arrivals by at least 8:30AM and a break for lunch and the actual "meeting" around noon.
MapQuest will give you directions of you use these destination coordinates:
34.344827, -85.152629
It is a little early to predict weather, but so far this year, it has been unseasonably warm and dry. I still have trees with leaves on them that are just now turning.
