Very Interesting. There are a couple of design issues that make me wonder why they did it that way. (like the shape of the wheel pants and the fairing going from the cabin to the mast) But it will be interesting to see if anything ever becomes of either design and how they fly. Time will tell.

Don't know the 'why' they used but I'll tell you my 'why'.
I learned long ago that air that would otherwise be turbulent could be made smooth, thereby reducing drag and 'coaxing' more cooling - at least in this application.
The wind coming off the rear of that cabin WILL be turbulent without giving it something to try to achieve laminar flow. That panel is something that I believe lots of pushers would benefit from, especially if it could be mounted just forward of the prop.
Just my thoughts..............

I don't know, but he claims 180hp.
This might be dangerous on such machine. :eek:
The contraption is probably damn heavy, the transmission seems to
by standard car gear box, all the beams and crossbars, if they are irin
must weigh a ton.

Looks to me, like the shrouded area is wrapped around the fuel cell.
