Hello Fellow Forum Frequenters

I'm back. After months on the high seas we finally made dry land. :D
I have been lurking around here trying to get a handle on all the ructions surrounding the PRA.

Question: Has everybody been getting their magazine? I am paid up through May 05 but have not had a copy since I don't know how long, maybe since March.
I emailed them and the message came back as unusable.

Also, very sorry to hear what happened to Chuck Irby, he was one guy who I emailed 'on the side' about things and he was thoroughly decent. My most heartfelt condolences go out to any members of his family and all who knew him personally through our mutual hobby/sport.

Thanks, Gordon Gibson, NZ.

Welcome back Gordon!

I have emailed the PRA office a couple of times in the past few weeks and my email went through fine. You might want to check the address and try again. If not let me know and I will forward the email for you.

Anyone who is having trouble with their subscriptions just needs to call Pam, and she'll take care of it.

It looked like my membership was going to expire, as the bill hadn't shown up on my credit card statement, so I called Pam. She looked through the records, and the charge hadn't taken. I gave her permission to bill me again, and got renewed.

A few weeks later, I got a letter from Pam with a credit slip, as somehow my card eventually got charged twice.

I think if you let her know there's an issue, she'll get it corrected, or at least get back to you. This is the third or fourth time I've talked to Pam, and she's always been friendly and helpful.

Again, she can't fix what she doesn't know is wrong, so let her know about it.

Gordon,
Where were you on the high seas?
We recently sailed across the Pacific and our boat is now in Australia.

Hi Rob

We spend most of the time from about 158E to 179E and usually about 2 degrees or less either side of the "0".
Fish very hard to find these days, the ever-increasing size of the fishing fleet is seeing to that.
One day the Capt told me we had travelled 4000 miles with the boat (and umteen sq miles with the chopper along the way) without seeing one fish!

regards, Gordon Gibson, NZ.
