PRA Chapter 30 met at the Auburn (Seattle area) Airport for the monthly meeting last Saturday (always the 3rd Saturday of the month). Three flying gyros! American Auto Gyro was flying the newly built SPARROWHAWK that is halfway thru its experimental fly-off time. A drawing was held for a flight in "Ruby", the AAI trainer equipped with AAI tall tail and CLT mods. The winner passed the flight to Dana for his very first gyro flight, thoroughly enjoyed! Dave Overman, CFI for GBA put Ruby thru her paces in the sun with Mt Rainier in the background capped with lenticular clouds. Randy Rodgers took me for a leisurely flight in his bright yellow RAF (yes, has a good horizontal stab). GREAT first flight in a 2 place RAF. Everyone had a good time talking GYROS and sampling donuts and coffee.
