Here are a couple picture of my Monarch and the first set of G force landing gear from production. Larry is still doing some testing with my Monarch and Matt is loving the free flight time. I can't wait to get it to its new home in Atlanta.

Chris,
If you don't have a copy of Microsoft Photo Editor on your computer, you can down load IrfanView here (http://www.irfanview.com/):
I downloaded and installed it on my computer in a bout 5 minutes (on a dial up connection). You can resize your pictures, and use JPEG compression to compress the actual file size.
Here's a short tutorial I wrote to help out:

Mike, I will try to download Photoeditor and get these on the sight. I hope all is well in your world.
Ron, I am doing fine but too busy. I was planning to go back to Texas to get the Monarch but work is crazy. Now the second trip is not looking too good. I don't have time to take a vacation, that is sad!! How about you? Everything going well?

Chris, looks nice. I have been watching and watching the carter struts demo video.
If you can tell, how much did you pay for them ? and why didn't you use more rudder surface ?
thank you

Tim,
Thanks for the help with the Pictures. Mike G. is quick on the draw...
Victor,
This system works as good if not better than the Carter Copter strut. It has 18" of stroke with a smart valve built in. This system came with my airframe and I do not know how much they cost. I will tell you you can buy several sets for what the Carter system costs.
Matt Pearson has tested the system and dropped the ship in from 40' without issue. You will see more on the development soon...
The rudder is more than plenty for this machine. It is completely balanced and is really very big. Larry felt there was no need for a "tall tail" on this machine. The two place Golden Butterfly has double the rudder. See the flight review under ultralight gyros in the forum. I found this to be a bold statement from a man who has been flying gyros for 13 years.
I am very glad that I have bought a Monarch-Butterfly Gyro. It will change the world of gyros as we know them today. Larry designed this with safety in mind and he has got it right on this machine. :)

Chris,
While on the ground does the suspension have any action left, or is it bottomed out?
Thanks,
Victor Duarte

Thanks you so much Chris, i was to ask the same question as Michael. And yes, if you know the way to get the price for the struts, I am ok. Do you feel the only strut (the pair) are strong enough to hold the craft without the arms ?
Thank you

I know the last prototype had some action left on the ground. Iam not sure about this production set. I have not seen my machine since these were installed. Maybe Matt can help out here and give us the answer to that question.
Michael, Your tractor looks great!! Do you still have you web sight? If so send me the link to it so I can really see the work.

The production landing gear is totally bottomed out when on the ground.
The Carter Stut is the same way. There is no spring in either system rather it is similar to an "oleo" type strut.

Matt, so ? what was all this hum and buzz around "revolutionnary carter struts" ? Have you an idea of the weight ? sorry if i push it.. but could you evaluate if the only strut could endure the vertical landing G, and the weight ? if so, i may be interessed in purchase.

zeeoo,
Here's my builder's log (http://members.cox.net/rotors2/builderslog.htm)
I'm not sure what the 3 bladed rotor is on, that's a pic that a friend of mine brought back from Bensen Days a few years ago.

Victor,
I really don't know what the specs are on the Carter Strut. You might want to contact Carter Aviation and ask them directly.

I wonder if the 3 blade rotor is a shot of the Gyrhino rotor. Anyone else have a guess?

Guys,
That's Dad's three bladed rotor on a Dominator tandem. It was joint venture between Dick DeGraw and my father. Currently it resides in a corner of dad's shop collecting dust. There is a possibilty that it will be resurected for a new project in the future.
