Tim: This sport is awesome. I have a lot of fun on rainy days just going to the hanger and doing some light maintenance work...getting it all ready for its next mission.

The other day I was in the hanger...looking it over..and noticed my pre-rotator belt was fraying. So...I keep one onboard and proceeded to install it. I had to take my whole prop assembly off...the main drive belt....engine support bearing....and then reinstall everything. It wasnt no big deal as it only took 45 minutes. I could do it in 30 if I wanted to.

That belt and my alternator belt plus the tools to install are carried behind my seat.

todayI had my first flight in over a year! Retireing is fine but you never get a day off! I took the time to go today just to see if the gyro had forgot how to fly, happy to report that it did'nt Bud

OK, Stan, I gotta ask. What's your technique for taking photos when you're solo? I feel like I need another hand. Below is a good example of what happens a lot - I either get the inside of my finger or else not exactly what I'm aiming at. Obviously the gyro is a great thing for photos. I wish I could mount the camera on my head.

Jerry: I just have a little Cybershot. I can shoot pictures easily with one hand....but the RAF can fly hands off for a long time. Seems I have two hands on the camera most of the time....either deleting...or adjusting the settings.

Good to hear bud! You need to schedule some time to fly!
