View Full Version : More fuel for my Dominator?

I've got single seat Dominator with a 582 and I would like to be able to carry a few more gallons of fuel. I've seen some machines with tanks located parallel to the seat tank and some with a tank under the seat. I would like to fit one behind the seat, behind the mast. I'm thinking this is the best place to put it. Located almost in the thrust line, centered left and right, and not sticking out in the air flow causing extra drag. It will also be easy to tap into the existing fuel lines and not need a fuel pump. Obvious problem to me is the battery is in the way. Seems like it should be easy to move the battery out of the way and fit it between the seat and the mast. I will be adding 30 pounds of tank and fuel.
Looking for any pros or cons that others have already run into.

Thanks

You may ask sportcopter for extra aluminum tanks or to any dune buggy company. They come in different sizes.

Hi Paul, Send Edypaul a pm if he doesnt see this. He has a nicely executed add-on tank. I found the thread Ed did on it.

Ron Awad did a side tank mountto his Dominator. I thought it looked very nice.
Scott Bordleon, Avatar is king chocolate, did a nice tank behind the keel of his Butterfly.

I like this part, sounds great to me.

If you can manage a bit of space between you and the mast...this might be ideal (as it fits your objectives but would need to go between seat and mast).

Thank you Trez...I think the syntax got mixed up when I copied and pasted.
(now edited the original link so it works).
