Norm, just keep us posted as best you can. You indeed are a hero to a lot of us and it's true, the archives are something that would be nice to have available someday. But right now, I think that a lot of people are elated to see a post from you. You have been in the thoughts of a lot of people for a long time. We wish you nothing but the best.

To make a long story short...

1. The BIG "D" remains a war because I am still fighting for my daughter against a true Borderline Psychosis diagnosis (the soon to be ex). And all the dirty accusations that go with that kind of mental disability. If I am lucky… I will have custody next month

2. Approximately 8 months ago one of my other dreams came true and I am now working at the "CAPE" … yes NASA .... Wow!!!!!! I could tell you about it but would have to kill you later …….. (smile)

3. I am hoping to have the servers back up in January…. Crossing my fingers.

Take Care and Fly Safe ……. norm

Norm,
Your forum was before my time here, but there have been so many references to you that I feel like you're an old pal or something. Kinda weird in a way. But I'm glad you're with us and look forward to some enlightening posts. I'm sorry for the turmoil you're enduring, but as they say, this too shall pass.

Take care.

Respectfully,
Brian Jackson

It'd been so long, I was beginning to think that you had split the country. What about you Walker?

I was beginning to think the IRS, FAA, NTSB, WADOT, and maybe even the CIA finally caught up with you!

Only 14 posts... you better get busy.

Someone should tell me who Norm is. He sounds very mysterious. Of course if you don´t tell me, I will have to use my imagination and build a legend around him.

It might be a very interesting story that will gain in prosperity and spread to Australia where it will become a folk legend of the indigenous people there. The North Koreans will get wind of the tail and make a movie which will be distributed to all the evil empires. The Arabs will make him a Prince and follow his every word. He will have to instruct the mercenaries fighting in Iraq to give up their arms and surrender to his will thus ending the war on terror.

He will have to run for President of the United States then and free all the world of hunger and strife. Then I will tell everyone I knew Norm when he was just a mortal being with many friends at Rotary Wing Forum. :D

Thomas,
Norm owned and ran the very first gyro forum on rotorcraft.com. His forum probably sved alot of lives. I believe it was up and running for about 7 or 8 years until last year when he had to pull it off the net for family reasons. Norm's vision of a forum of this kind makes him another gyro pioneer, in my opinion. Hope this helps, another mistery solved

Either that, or start a quack "religion" like L. Ron Hubbard did (L. Ron Hub-Bar :D ) and bilk people put of their millions. Then he could write books made into hysterically terrible movies like Battlefield Earth and convince everyone their bodies are infested with dead space aliens like Scientology teaches.

Naaaaa... I like your idea better!

Hey, I'm not far from Kalamazoo. We should hook up.

Cheers,
Brian Jackson

MikeBoyette,
What I like best about this forum is that you have to provide your real names; makes for an honest exchange. I have been to other "aviation" forum's that have no accountability for the participants. They inevitably get bombarded with pranksters and hokey adolescent graffiti. Anonymity cheapens the professionalism and makes questionable the validity of any advice. To maintain any type of control the monitors usually resort to fascist tactics that only serves to alienate contributors.

It took great insight to look past the dollars and cents at its inception and see the true character of a special group by allowing them the opportunities to create a viable exchange of ideas and not cater to a bunch of malcontents just to make a buck. I hope this forum continues to grow in popularity and make many dreams come true. If I can help in any way, I am at your service. I am proud you all have accepted me into this special group.

RotoPix,
Hey, I sent you two PM's. I looked at your web site, wow, fantastic. Yes, we are close neighbors, Niles is only about 30 miles from here. mcbirdman is also from Michigan,...... Grand Ledge. I feel better knowing people of similar interests living near by. If they ever set off the "big one" we will have kindred spirits to talk to in the aftermath.

Being in the job market I have been to Niles many times. City council is building a new industrial park at the airport that attracted my attention. Also, ultra's were contracted from Niles as part of the recovery process with the NASA shuttle disaster. Lots of activity for such a small town.

Heron,
You are a rascal. Where are you now. If I call you a Gringo will you get mad? Why do you move about so much, are you really a spy? Working for CIA I hope, they are desperate for a few good men.

Heron
11-23-2004, 01:28 PM
heheheheeheh no spy here, just a voyer! :D
I am preparing for a bigger project, last year I was about to move back and just build Butterfly gyros one by one and make a living of it. now the scope of this endeavour is a little more that I expected.
Gyrowave will come to fruition I hope and includes several participations on gyro development.
I am a Gringo wherever I am, a little bit of a mutant, kinda walking metamorphosys . . .
or just call me outcast, troublemaker, pot stirrer, wave maker . . . .
see ya

Brave Reader,

There Are Times In Life When One Needs To Refresh The ‘feel’ In The ‘art Of Flying’. If You Reread ‘stick And Rudder’ You Will Find That The Instructions Are Very Clear, When The ‘angle Of Attack’ Exceeds The Capability Of The Wing Of A ‘hen’, Stall Prevention Can Only Be Achieved With A Slight ‘forward’ Movement Of The Stick. If Not, Impact Will Change Your Behavior.

What Is Not Written About Moving The Stick Forward At The Beginning Of A Stall, Is That It Is Not Just Your Hand On The Stick. You Kind Of Have To Be A Nasa Type To Understand This Phenomena.

If You Really Look At The Stick, You Can Really See The Images Of Other Hands. At First It Will Appear Like A Multi Exposure In A Photo,

The Solid Hand Is Yours, But That Other Less Dense Hand Belongs To The Real ’pic’. You Will Also Notice More Less Dense Images Of Hands, These Are The Hands Of Your Friends.

They All Have One Thing In Common, All Want You To Have Your ‘stick Forward’.

The Hardest Thing You Have To Do Is ‘let Go’, The Real ‘pic’ And Your Copilots Will Do The Rest.

It Is Clear You Need To Fly Again, Communicating Right Here In This Forum Is A Good Place To Start. This, Plus A Phone Call To A Good Flight Instructor, Such As 940-627-9887

If You Have Not Noticed, All Of Your Dreams Are Happening, Including The ‘little Pilot’. Just Let Go. Continue Your ‘angle Of Attack’ And May The ‘pic’ Bless Your Log.
