I am a JAR PPL(A) holder since 6 years and finally I started my
gyro conversion training with Raphael Celier in the Xenon.
It took place at their Flight Academy airfield in Baranów.
It was really windy day with 15kn wind, gusting 20 kn.
Xenon was flying smooth like silk, no stick shake,
extremely maneuvreble, I had to be rally light on controls
compared to my Rallye, fighting to tame my reflex reactions
to the turbulence.
With such wind we did some nice hovering and some "safari"
flights. The snow is down and huge deer herds (40-50) were
feeding on the harvested corn fields left unploughed since fall.
Unfortunately I had to concentrate on my flight lesson so
I took no in flight pictures. Just some pre- and post flight
shots enclosed.

Great to hear. Isn't it fun?
I just read, that you won't try out the Calidus. Sorry, I would have liked you opinion on the comparison.

Oh, yes, it is. :)
Going there again in few minutes. Today the wind is calming down.

As soon as they've done their homework, I'll try.
Until now, not enough confidence. ;)

Another great day of flying. Weather was nicer, less wind.
We did some short x-country to my place, (top right corner, pic 1)
just 10 miles straight line from Baranow Celier Airfield.
Did some patterns, Xenon is more fun every minute,
but also very forgiving.
And Raphael is very good, patient and understanding instructor. ;)
I have really to fight to get rid of some of my habits
form flying much heavier, less powerful aircraft.
Unfortunately Raphael is preparing for his trip to Sun-and-Fun,
and tomorrow the weather is going to collapse (cold front).
So probably my training will be interrupted for some time...

Looks like fun and I am glad to hear the Raphael is good and patient instructor as I will be a student of his next month!
Safe flying,

In our little world of gyros Xenon ROCKS! I'n my 4th. year owning mine and I still get giddy every time I fly.

Continued my training.
Raphael "driving" the Xenon from the temporary "hangar" by the friendly farmer
to the airstrip.
The construction of the real hangar starts in few months.

Some flying.
This is the SP-XENF recently modified with the VP propeller.
Interesting performance, climbs like a rocket. :)

Today was a busy day in Baranów.
My training in SP-XENF, first flight of SP-XENN and some testing
of the Executive.
