Has anyone had experience with the Rev-ER-up oil additive?
I have a friend that runs diesel pickups that pull heavy trailers for field operation. He adds the ER oil additive to the engine, trans, and rear-end.
Claims it increase Hp, fuel mileage, reduces engine and trans wear.
It is hard to argue with a guy than has 250,000 miles on some of his pickups with little motor or trans repair.
It should work on a sub.

Has anyone tried AMSOIL? Expensive, but some guys I know say it increase their mpg. By using both the ER and AMSOIL we should be able to get better fuel comsumption and less wear.
PS
One thought for the Pre-rotation cable would be to try the ER oil. It is suppose reduce friction. Another guy I know uses the ER oil in harsh duty electric motors. Says it doubles the life of the motor.

What Can I expect when using Amsoil?
· Amsoil will give you a smoother running engine.
· With AMsoil you will have a cooler running engine in severe heat.
· AMSOIL will net you 2-8% better fuel economy or more. This fact alone, with fuel at $2.00 a gallon, will pay for itself.
· Amsoil saves time and money with extended drain intervals.
· AMSOIL provides easier starts in severe cold.
· AMSOIL gives you peace of mind knowing you are using a premium quality synthetic lubricant
Ten Reasons AMSOIL 100% Synthetic Motor Oil Is Superior To Conventional Petroleum Oil
· AMSOIL gives superior wear protection…. Engines last longer
· AMSOIL improves fuel economy… More miles per gallon
· AMSOIL makes for easier cold starts
· AMSOIL provides cooler running engines in high heat
· AMSOIL reduces engine deposits
· AMSOIL resists oxidation and thermal breakdown
· AMSOIL increases horsepower
· AMSOIL has superior shear stability and film strength
· AMSOIL is designed for extended drain intervals that produce environmental benefits
· AMSOIL reduces exhaust emissions

If I use Rev-Er-Up, Amsoil, add a Tornado, a Fuelboss Magnetic Fuel Saver, Prolong oil & gas treatment, Motor Honey, a Cool-Collar, a Magne-Strap, a Perma-Cool, 4 Aldor Plugs that fire in oil, a Juke Box Electronic Song Horn with built-in voice chip, an Arospeed cat-back exhaust system for "more power," some Turbolator Power Exhaust Tips, which improve gas economy up to 8.3%, an ARC Motorized Adjustable Rear Wing, a Volant Ram Air Performance Intake System, a Hypertech Power Tuning Module, a Thermomaster Power Chip, some Lund Eclipse Performance-Look (he means fake) Hood Scoops, a Magna-Guard Oil Filter magnet (5% increased gas mileage), some chrome-plated valve covers, a set of Pilot Motors Profiler chrome-plated Oversized Wheel Covers with some Custom-Fit Kleen Wheels Turbo-Vented Dust Shields to keep them spotless, and top it all off with a Jr. West-Coast-Style Mirror, why hell, I bet when I get through pumping my gas, the old "Pump-Jockey," who is now a "Sit On His Ass Stool-Monkey that reads Magazines All Day Jockey," will have to run outside and hand me a 20-dollar bill before I pull off.

There are only a handfull of products out there that actually work. Most cost a bunch and are "industrial" rated additives.
The rest is all crap !
Stop with all the snake oils.
if it is on the way out, its on the way out and should be rebuilt.
Ken you make me laugh.

Could you tell that I had a J.C. Whitney catalogue laying (lying? I can never remember which is "propuh") nearby? Actually, I liked them better when they were "Warshawsky's." My uncle used to take me to their retail store when it was in Chicago. It was the mother of all auto supply stores, on the corner of Archer Ave. and State St. in a very crummy area. They have sinced moved to the far suburbs, and I don't know if they still have a retail outlet. :(

Ken do they still have the big open market on Maxwell Street. The one where you could buy ANYTHING.
A group of us once went down there from Milwaukee to go shopping. We walked the length of the street and back. One of the storekeepers noticed we hadn't bought anything and asked us what we were looking for. When we replied we wanted Oldsmobile spinner hubcaps. He asked what size and then we settled on a price. He then told us to come back in 15 minutes. When we came back there were the hubcaps still having the road dirt from the car they came off of.
I have tried Lucas Oil in my transmission and it seems to have helped the surging I was getting.
There was also a "mini supercharger" I think J.C.Whitney sold it at one time that really worked. Not as a super charger but it improved gas milage. It was a small 4 bladed freely rotating fan that was installed between the carburator and the intake manifold. All it did was whirl in the manifold intake It simply broke up (atomized)any small drops of gas to make them burn better when they reached the cylinder. It improved the gas milage on my 53 Plymouth convertible from about 21 mpg to about 25 mpg. thats at a steady 50mph.
Most of the highways back then couldn't take the 70+mph driving that we do now.

Larry, I have a Bensen with a McCulloch and after changing over to Rick's CDI ignition, I ran the engine on the ground an hour or so, the idle rpm was set to 1200 rpm I was using Lucas semi-synthetic oil. I finally drove to OKC found some Blue Marble oil, at this time I also changed fuel tank to a new one added the Blue Marble oil @ 17 ozs. per 5 gallons started the engine let it run about 15 minutes @ about 2000 rpm's I then returned the throttle to idle postion idle then was measured with hand held tach it was a little over 1700 rpm so I figure a gain in idle speed of about 500 rpm just changing to Blue Marble. Friction reduced? or maybe just improved fuel burn I dont know but maybe it does just what they say it does?????
Hello DanR
First remove the rust in your throttle cable.

Here is something interesting. The following web page indicates REV-ER-UP is made by Blue Marble!
This conference is full of people with similar personal traits; intelligent, resourceful, innovative, inventive, imaginative, eccentric. Ken was at the first of the line when they were handing out eccentric. Add a dash of twisted humor, and you have a very unique combination.
