thank you Mark!

I would like to start an R/C 'branch' of the PRA someday if we can find enough people that do R/C gyros.

here's a small group on an R/C helicopter forum dedicated to gyros:

and another one on a general R/C site

HI Tim

I truly think this is one of those times that is like the story of the "field of dreams". Create it, and they will come. This could be a SUPER introduction for the younger kids (up to 50 years old) and their parents. What better place could you find for a R/C convention and see the "BIG" toys too.

I agree.

I have been thinking about this over night.

I have been wondering about what resources the PRA might have to offer to these people and what seeds could be planted to see if something grows.

I would be willing to pay out of my own pocket for a vendor space for an R/C rotorcraft club to setup some display/sale space and I would work with them to get time time in the convention for flying and seminars.

I would also be willing to use my personal time to make some space on the PRA.org web server for them if they were willing to submit content.

I am open to any ideas on how we could "roll out the red carpet" to these folks.

One thing that can said for the r/c gyros, is the amount of learning that it requires to build one from scratch. My hat is off to these guys and their hobby. My experience has been very enjoyable and rewarding to say the least.

It has been a while since I have been to Mentone, but there used to be an area in the museum on the right side that had some models on display. If this area is still there could this be used for there display/vending area, this would also be a good draw for the museum as well.

Yes, that would be indoors also.

Glen Bundy is the Museum curator, I would have to arrange that with him.
