Mark your calendars!

We'll be meeting at RMG (Rome, GA) in the morning starting around 8:30AM Saturday morning and we'll probably go to the Landmark Diner in Rome for lunch somewhere around noon.

I might try to fly my 150 up if I have my license by then. The weather has canceled my check ride 2 times so far. Maybe the 3rd is a charm!

Good luck with your checkride. I hope weather permits both the check and the ride up. It would be nice to have you. You'll like RMG as a fixed-wing destination. It is a very easy airport to find and has runways that generally rule out a crosswind landing.

I plan to be there again. I was there back in June of 2010. Still meting at about 8:30?

Bump!

Yes, we'll be there around 8:30 AM in the terminal building. I'm afraid it isn't going to be great flying weather, but I have heard from several that are making the trek anyway!

It must be that great dining experience that is the Rome "Landmark" Diner that is the major draw.

THe dining does not hurt but its the quality of hanger flying is what I like.

Melissa,Gracey and I with my little dog will be down on Friday night. Parking the motorhome in Jon's driveway works great. I think he is planning on some good ribs for a treat and then on Sat. morn head over to RMG for some good hanger/hang out with some great friends.
Looking Forward to seeing everyone. Glad to get away from work for some R&R..

People if you want some great fun, enjoy hanger flying and then some good eating you need to join the group. I drive a long way to attend and love every min. of it.

I'd love to be there....But I am working Sat, I guess I'll catch up with y'all at Bensen Days.
I hate to miss it, but The O.T. is nice while I can get it.

If y'all don't mind, I believe I will make the drive. I need a close-up view of some nice gyros. I may be a bit late considering the drive.

(knows the proper spelling of y'all)

wdr_601: You are quite welcome...but you don't get the distance award. I think BillyGyro gets that most of the time.

scottessex: OT is good, no doubt...but you still get the George Jones award. :boink:

coolbaldguy: Next time. June is generally the best flying weather. AND the Bulldozer will be flying again by then or I'll throw away the aviator goggles!

Great meeting, despite the weather and no flying. Good turn-out and good fun. The conversations regarding "Chord Buddy" notwithstanding.

Here are some snaps taken by Gary Weaver...can you name these folks?

Jon

Too bad the weather sucked donkeys, i would have trailered the Bee over. I stayed home and worked on the Air Command engine conversion instead. How's Gary doin, any news on his rebuild plans?

Gerg,

Yeah, the weather was awful. June meeting should be very interesting. I think we'll see more than one rebuild flying then. Barring another onslaught from Mother Nature, I fully intend to fly the Bulldozer up to Rome (RMG) for the meeting and back to Cedartown (4A4). I expect a few folks will be joining me for the flight.
