G'mornin' all.
Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend. I certainly am, in that Gyro-building kinda way :) . Thought I'd share a couple of photos I snapped last night. Queen Bee is starting to take shape, and I laid her out on the kitchen floor to make sure she still looked like the CAD model.
Few things in life are more satisfying than seeing the results of "labors of love." She doesn't look like much yet, but she's one step closer to fulfilling a life-long dream, and joining the ranks of the fine folks here whom are already flying.
There's no holes in her yet, as I've chosen to do "direct drilling" wherever possible to ensure absolute concentricity of hole alignment. Besides, I'm still saving my pennys toward a good set of reamers :D .
Also, the "streaks" you see on the aluminum aren't geometric... they're just cosmetic blemishes that appear when flash photographed. Kinda strange.
Respectfully submitted,
Brian Jackson
