Since I really think I'm going to get me a gyrocopter, I thought I might as well join the PRA now. However, I have tried to join using my iPad and a PC and neither work when I click on the PayPal option... Get an incomplete form that automatically takes me to PayPal but the data is not transferred to PayPal in order to complete the transaction.

we are in the process of upgrading the site.

You can contact Jennifer at the office. We should have the online system working in a few days.

Tried again on iPad and on PC laptop and no go. A form comes up which is incomplete and I assume I should fill out. However, in a couple seconds it goes to PayPal automatically and PayPal displays an error. I posted the error message below. I'll check back next week or so. Enjoy the day off! :wave:

Same thing happened to me today.
I'm going to try the telephone Monday.
Really should get this fixed.

I was able to renew my membership Friday, and used my PayPal account to conduct the transaction. A minor glitch with the displayed name, but other than that it went well.
I caled and let Tim O'Connor know about the glitch.

David, the heads up was great! thank you.

We have the name glitch fixed yesterday and have been testing.

I have been unable to reproduce any problems since then. I have been able to use the join/renew system from my PC with 3 different browsers as well as my iPad with no problems.

If someone has a problem try closing out your browser and going in a again. Use the Contact link on the web page to alert the PRA of any problems.

PayPal has been updated and so far passes all tests.

If anyone wants to join or renew please let me know how the PayPal system worked for you by sending me an email at gyro.pilot@yahoo.com

I need to know if it is working good.
