Car manufacturers tell that the CVT is the most efficient transmission. Has someone feedback on use of CVT from snowmobile?

I've often thought that if you could find one of those light enought it would make a good prerotator system. ;)

I think the aircraft version is called a variable pitch prop. just a guess,.

David, that's a Goldsberry+Evans three seats...
She appears in 1988 (PRA rotocraft mag. oct-nov.1988), than she appears as a two parallele 503 (PRA ROTOCRAFT 07/1989) 450 lbs thrust with small prop. compared to 405 lbs for a continental o-200...You have a full report in the PRA ROTOCRAFT MAG. oct-nov 1989.
It seems Gary Goldsberry has done many contributions for the rotorcraft community but there is something wrong in the transmission of the knowledge, to go further...
