Hi, I'm John, I'm interested in Gyros. I'm hoping to find some two place lessons to see if it's for me. Trying to talk my dad into it too. I'll then decide on the gyro . So far the Gyrobee and Hornet look very interesting. The Butterfly and Ultrawhite too if I decide to assemble instead of build. The AAI modified RAF 2000 or Sparrowhawk if my dad's interested in gyros.
I'm not a flyer, I have about 200 skydives and I took a few lessons many years ago in a 2 place Quicksilver. I used to be in the Air Force. I was a Boom Operator on KC-135Q models air to air refueling SR-71's (and anything else that came up behind us.)
I'm a Machine Repairman at Ford Motor co. (anybody want an x-plan Ford?) I fix the robots and automation at the Focus plant. I have a Beautiful wife who supports me in my odd persuits (like Battlebots and now this) and 2 great daughters.

Welcome John!!!

I have jumped out of a few planes myself. I had to give it up as I have more hobbies then time or income.

I envy your refuleing experience! must have been something to see an SR live in flight!

You are a very lucky to have a wife that supports your hobbies.

Hi Tim, I see you're a hobby collector too.... I enjoyed Jumping but after I moved from California back here after getting out of the Air Force I didn't do much more skydiving or skiing. I loved being a Boom Operator and all the travel that working with the SR-71 allowed me to do but they were winding down the program so I didn't re-enlist.
I have a fantastic wife who lets me indulge in pretty much whatever hobby I want. I'm very lucky. :D
