How sturdy is the mount from your keel to the radio. I wanted to use the new ipad mount, but it's to big to mount on the shelf I built on my seat tank frame. I do have a solid Ram mount for my radio and it works great.

It's good but I did run a extra support fron the thro over to the Ram mounting rod that is 1/2 alum. You can bend it anyway you want. The Mac has a litle more shake that most and I wanted to make sure it stayed in place on the ground.

Looks good, Mark. Looks like it would work for a GPS also.

That looks real good Mark. How does the IC-A22 work with the Mac? With my Pro V I can hear but not transmit.

Dave That's a good question. I haven't gotten a push to talk switch but the headset has one on the side of it. I called for a radio check when I heard anyone around Sport Flyers but no one came back. I thought the push to talk may not be working correct but now you have me thinking.... Is there a problem with A22 working with a Mac ? If there would have been someone else at the hanger I would have checked on their radio to see if it was getting out. Yes Tim it would work well it a GPS and your Laptop if you want LOL....

That looks like a nice install
...Thank You for sharing those shots.
..gave me some ideas..!!!
I do like these Ram Mounts...can't wait for mine to arrive for my Icom (it's back ordered).
I also went with the Alkaline Battery case (as a backup)...the push to talk button, and the head set plug adapter.
OUCH- the cost stung a little bit, but worth it I think in the end.

Mike,
I am very pleased with the way it all cane out. I will make a larger foot pad for the brake but this will work for now. The line lock works super and just press the foot brake and she let's go. The ram mount looks like it will be fine, maybe a little close to my leg but we will see. Ant worked out fine, had to use my compass hole but hell who needs a compass???
