Think I saw Chuck Beaty made one out of a regular auto or motorcycle speedo with a "calibrated" small propellor soldered into the back ??

I would imagine that one could be fabricated from a digital bicycle speedometer and a small propeller turned magnet or switch, something similar to how rotor tachs are made.
