I've seen some interesting ideas & designs...........ie Pier aka "Ziggie" has an interesting design for a coaxile tilt mast or weight shift control helicopter. Joe is tweaking a tandem gyro...also very interseting. There is stuff that I'm tinkering with and they guy with the tripod style coaxile craft is interesting. But I'm also interested in seeing what designs other people have up their sleeves. Regardless of how far fetched the idea is, would you be willing to talk about it? If it's a patent thing I understand, but does any one have any idea for a different rotorcraft concept? Even a sub-system for a rotorcraft would be good to hear about. Heard of a magnetic swash plate by Mike and one other guy on the net is tinkering w/ a magnetic swash in RC scale. One of my soldiers and I are thinking about a subsystem for tail rotor failure recovery. I had an idea and a few drawings and he suggested pullies over spur gears, so I made him a co-inventer....even if it's worthy of a patent, he'll be a co-inventer. I just need to finish the drawings...more to follow. Perhaps something that you've been curious about for some time? Alot of great minds in here.........pilot or not ......engineer or not. Don't under estimate your ideas.....your imagination.
