Butterflyguys, how-we-DOIN?! Nicely I hope. Tell me sirs, for our hydraulic brakes, is the fluid silicone? I think it is, could ask Larry or the builder, just thought I would ask YOU! So, is it? Got brake improvs to do so why I ask. Thank y'all. MJD

Im not sure exactly the type of brakes Larry uses on his gyros but most of the 'light aircraft' versions like Hager brakes, etc. use the red transmission fluid. It works just fine and also serves as a visual aid (you can easily identify air in the line as the bubbles readily show as white) as opposed to regular dot 3 fluid which is clear and hard to see the bubbles. Makes for a much easier purge if necessary.
