Rotax E drive

Hello,

I have an oil leak on a Rotax E box. I hope to check the oil for particles and level tomorrow. If anyone has had issues with this model gear box, please post here. Thanks, it will help me save time.

I saw this thread earlier today and was not going to comment. There have been no responses, so I will say that I have an Ebox and I know of several PPC owners that have them. As of today, you are the first person, I that I know, that has had a problem with his Ebox. So they must be fairly reliable redrives. Sorry, I can't help more than that. Hope it is something minor like a dry seal or something.

Is it leaking at the starter or somewhere around the gasket perimiter?

When I first got my Rotax and filled the gearbox, I filled it to the wrong level. After running it a while I notice some oil around the box. I recheck the box and discovered it was to the wrong level and as it ran it would throw some oil out of the vent tube and appear as a leak. When I drained it down to the proper level, I never had a problem and when I check the level it is still right on the money.
