View Full Version : Unofficial Get-together THIS WEEKEND!
07-29-2010, 05:39 AM
It looks like some of the Chapter 56 group and friends will be getting together at Cedartown (4A4) this Saturday morning (July 31, 2010). It is going to be hotter than a two dollar rolex in the afternoon, so we'll probably start very early (around 6:30AM) and be finished around noon.
This is completely unplanned and informal. If you don't fly, you can always watch them drop meat bombs. That's generally good for a laugh or three.
If you happen to be in the area, stop by! If you need directions, feel free to call me:

That's too bad, John. We'll miss you! I was hoping to show you my favorite hay field. My guess is that there will be at least one more "Cedartown Weekend" before the September meeting at RMG.

If you don't mind I'd like to drive down from Chat and have a twirly spinny time with yall tomorrow morning. Just visiting for the week. Jon, I'll keep your cell # with me in case my GPS gets confused. I got to meet BillyG at BDs but was never able to quite catch up with you.

Come ahead, Dan. Call if you get lost. Coming from Chattanooga, it is best to get off I-75 at Adairsville (Highway 140) and take it West to Highway 27. Then 27 South through Rome and down to Cedartown. From Cedartown, the airport is about 5 miles East of the Highway 27 Bypass on Highway 278. There is a Cowboy's gas station at the turn for the airport road off 278.
The other option is to continue down I-75 down to Cartersville and exit onto Highway 113, then out 113 about 20 miles +/- to Highway 278 and West to the Cowboy's gas station (about 10 miles) and the airport road.
There are some squiggle routes your GPS might find as well, but they won't be any better. Unfortunately, Cedartown isn't particularly convenient to I-75. It used to be faster to come down Highway 27 from Chattanooga, but they finally put in enough traffic signals to ruin that idea.

Well, I only have time to check this site on the weekends, so I've missed this. Rats.
