I just found this picture on the net. It says that this was buit by DR Igor Bensen too ( you can see him flyin that thing  ) I can see from the picture that is a helicopter because the Rotor blade is power by the engine.becose of that it needs 4 blades rotor blades. 2 goes clock wise and other 2 counted clock wise to fight the engine torque. Interesting machine :D !

There is also one in the PRA museum IIRC. You guys would find DR. Bensen's book "A dream of flight" fascinating.
DR. B built flying platforms with many engines and a gyro with 4 or 6, I don't remember. I'll have to go re-read it. I think the PRA has them for sale if you're interested.

That particular pic was a posed publicity photo -- very much Bensen's style. What you could see in the original (but is cropped off the bottom in the version that Joe showed us) is a woman standing on the ground, handing Dr. B. his bag lunch! Dr. B. is reaching down to take it from her.
It speaks to the old Popular Mechanics/1950's dream of a "commuter helicopter in every garage." First cousin to the "flying automobile" fantasy that's discussed in another thread on this site!
