I have seen this thing fly and it is a hoot to watch. the rc guys that put on the show have a guy that is pretending to go out and cut the grass and the thing takes off with him running after it...it reaaly looks like a lawnmower. just goes to show that the most improbable shapes and configurations may in fact be quite airworthy (gyros, too).
