It looks like a beautiful machine. What does that convert to in American Dollars? I also have to asked about Cabin Area versus tail area...is it adequate? There appears to be far more cabin, especially with doors on than there is tail. How many of these machines are currently flying?

Thanks. The price converts to about $67 000.00 with the current exchange rate(United States Dollars).

We have built 46 of these units so far with all 46 of them currently in service. Concering your question on the tail area on my opinion we have got too much tail.

My rotax powered gyro copter has got about 1300 hours of flying so far without any problems.

We currently build the gyro copters with either the Rotax or Subaru engines. Both the engines that we use are turbo charged.

Yes, Udi, that is a Sycamore. However, I don't know Louis Cloete, the original poster of this thread. All my dealings with Chayair have been with Norman Shelley and more recently Stefan Grove, the controlling owner of Chayair. The aircraft are superbly built and fly like a dream. I have 110 hours on N914MK in just over a year since certified. Unfortunately, since the US dollar has lost its value compared to other world-wide currencies, the South African Rand included, the price of these aircraft are hard to swallow. I was fortunate to make my purchase before the big drop in value.

Yes of course it is a sycamore. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a brand new completely assembled gyro copter, thus the price accoring to me is not too bad.

Unless you live in South Africa, don't forget to add shipping costs. It can be rather pricey.
