Wow!! 2"x2" angle is at Wicks!!!

Didn't even know they made this stuff. I am happy about it because the pedal brackets call for machining them out of 2x2 square aluminum - which would have been a real pain. But now we can use like a foot of this stuff instead. I've also been kicking around the idea of doing the engine mount out of it, but its kinda expensive and I don't know if will add anymore strength to warrant redoin my current mount and then there is the weight issue even though there would hardly be more weight.

Anyone have any opinions of this!!

Cool news about the 2X2 Ang. Personally I wouldn't use it for the engine mount because A.) it adds 25% more to the weight and B.) it's overkill if you're just using a 447. The GyroBees that have been flying for years don't really need "beefing up" evidently. But it would be convenient for the rudder pedal pivots, and probably look a little cleaner since the angle stock typically has that nice radius on the inside edge.

Much easier to work with. I am going to order a foot or two of it along with some more 1x1 (for my pedals) either this payday or the next.
