It is with regret that I have to report a gyro fatality in Oz. The pilot was a contract musterer, and it appears that the hub bar broke where the teeter block is bolted to the hub bar.

The investigation by our gyroplane Assn. is continuing. Our CASA (FAA) do not become involved unless our guys need help. We usually have productive investigations due to the fact that gyro people conduct the investigation.

With regrets, and sympathies to the family. Aussie Paul. :)

Paul, what kind of hub-bar was he flying, if you know. Sorry for the loss of a man just trying to earn a living.

Too many tragic accidents recently. I'm sure he was doing something he loved at the time but its tragic nonetheless. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Paul , I am sorry as well. You folks in Oz seem to be a close knit bunch and we all feel a kindred spirit. It takes a lot out of you when one tragidy occurs, now we have two of our brothers gone. God bless and keep you all during this time of saddness.

Of utmost importance is to discover the technical details about this very rare kind of accident.

Please carry our feelings to his family, Paul. Thanks.
