Does anyone know if there is a crossover gas cap that will fit the seat tank? maybe VW bug style? Mine is missing and has a molotov cocktail rag hanging out of the hole. Could be cooler with a cap!

Post a photo of the opening. I believe you have a Ken Brock seat tank and the gas cap is an automotive type. Another option would be to just buy a new seat tank from Tom Milton. His tanks are a little thicker walled and provide a sump area for the fuel fittings.

I wasn't sure if anyone had needed to replace the cap before... If I was designing this, I would have designed the bung for a VW cap as they have been easily acquirable for so long. Here is the pic of the bung.

If any of you guys own a Brock seat tank and a vintage VW Bug, Bus T3 etc, pop off the Brock cap and see if it fits the old Bug bung or vice versa. That would help out a lot! I am thinking it might fit.

You might be surprised to find that those are still sold at a lot of Auto parts stores around the country. Countless vehicles have used them over the years, and most tractors still use them as well, and a LARGE number of motorcycles used the same cap. I could hunt at least 30 of them down if I was still back at the farm, but that's not a possibility at the moment. Have a look around, a small engines repair place, or motorcycle shop, tractor service, or salvage yard(auto or motorcycle), or parts store would be able to hook you up in pretty quick order.

Thanks FLR!

I'll hit the Autozone and see what I can scrounge.
