It's that time again! Georgia's Peach State Rotor Club will be holding it's next quarterly meeting at Rome, Georgia (RMG) on June 5, 2010. Make the trip!

We should be meeting at the hangar around 9:00 AM +/- and will break for lunch and carpool into town to eat. Bring your machine...bring a friend...or just show up by yourself.

Certainly it is open to guests...pets...children...farm-fresh vegetables...whatever you have! There is a super-secret, high-security code to get into the hangar area, but if you press the "call for assistance" button, they'll buzz you in. Odds are the gate will be open anyway.

Thanks jcarleto i read the PM. Hope to see you there billygyro. I think i am going to camp at the James H. Floyd state park, itg looks to be only about 12 miles away from RMG.

Yes, I know that park. Not far at all. Not as pretty as the pocket, but not bad. I look forward to meeting you.

Excellent!!! The weather looks great for this Saturday. Lewis Gulley and I have talked about flying up from 4A4. I see no reason presently why that won't happen. A few others have mentioned that they will be trailering in.

Looks like it is going to be another good one! Stop by if you find yourself wandering around in NW Georgia!

I couldn't find "the pocket" campground on google search. The state park should be ok though.

"The Pocket" is more an area than an individual location. It is a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and mountain streams. It is basically 20 miles due east of the State Park.

Tomorrow, June 5, 2010 is the day!

Lewis Gulley and I are poised and ready to fly our machines up from Cedartown to Rome in the morning. Look for us to arrive sometime between 8:30 and 9:00AM, depending on wind.

Several people have made contact with the club indicating that they will be coming in. It looks like it is going to be a good one!
