Just got off the phone with them, I'm in the process of drilling my new keel and I wanted to ask him about the new noseblock I heard about and if there were any changes to the bolt pattern. THe way it works is the block will slide into the front of the keel 2.5". They have the new pattern as 2 1/4" holes - one .375" from the front of the keel and the other .375" toward the front of the mast from the 2.5" line, centered in the middle of the keel length. (1"). Sounds good. Less bolts, no plates = less weight and MUCH simpler. Note: The nose block will come UNDRILLED. You drill your keel holes first, put the block in and either drill the holes thru there, or mark the centers and put it on your drill press, which is probably the better way to do it. I forgot to ask if the front part of the nose block comes drilled especially the 1/2" hole, but I won't bother him anymore today ;) .
Thought I'd give a heads up!!
