:cool: Last Sunday we took a flight to Golden Bay and back. The flight over we went over the top and down the valley to Takaka air port and met up whith some locals. It took 58 minutes going over and 51 minutes to come back around the coast so heres a look.
1 where it all starts.
2 where we are headed.
3 coming into the hills.

2 coming to the top.
3 down the other side.

1 starting over unfreindly around the coast
2/3 more unfreindly then camra bat went flat.

Wow! great shots!

Was the air stable or was it a bumpy ride?

That's a beautiful country you live in, John. Thank you for sharing it with us. What was your altitude in the last couple of pictures?

Sometimes resembles Brazil, Australia even more . . .

What is the kink in the keel about? Did you lower the engine? If so how much.

Michael, Hi there glad to hear you enjoyed the photos ,we are planning a flight down south in two or three weeks that will provide some good photos.Yes we have dropped the engine 6 inches ,check out NZ altered raf in this thread and Paul Brutys trip to new zealand in two place enclosed.

I would hope any bodey on the forum coming to NZ for a holiday to contact me and try to catch up so i can make shur you have a good time.

Great pics- thanks so much.

I was in NZ last year and did some fixed wing flying and paragliding in the Queenstown area then spent 3 months touring around in a van. So sorry I did not know about you or I would have begged a gyro ride.
