Hi;

I'm modeling the Xenon (RST in particular) in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The craft is almost done, but I need some specs for the animations and movement. Please tell me this:

(Approximate measurements are good enough)
How much travel is on the throttle handle ?
How much travel is on the choke handle ?
How much left to right travel is there on the control stick ?
How much front to back travel is there on the control stick ?
How much tilt is on the blades corresponding to the stick being full left ?
How much tilt is on the blades corresponding to the stick being full forward ?
How much tilt is on the blades corresponding to the stick being full back ?
How much travel is in the pedals ?
When the control stick is straight up, what tilt is on the blades ?
What is operating, caution and redline RPMs ?

Thanks for the help - the craft should be ready in a few weeks.
If you want the model (both wheel and float models) ((it will have an analog panel but maybe I can get the digital panel built as well)), I'll be posting back here.
I'm also working on a transitional model that can land at both airport or seaport, but have not quite figured out the wheel / float combination.

Hi,

I'm surprised, I always thought, MSFS does not simulate autorotation. Have you figured out a trick, how to?

Kai.

Well FSX (version after FS9 a.k.a. FS2004) does great autorotation for the helicopters. The Hovercontrol.com group is going to help me get it just right.

Stay tuned.

Been flying a xenon in x-plane for several years now. With G2xpl scenery it's awesome!
I haven't posted it yet on x-plane.org as it is still a work in progress. If your interested e-mail me at zaq@frontiernet.net

Another recommendation for X-Plane here...

Haven't flown a helicopter in FSX yet that felt even remotely real - while X-Plane isn't perfect, it's light years ahead at the basics.

Hi Glen,
Nice looking rig, like your amphibious floats. A Xenon won't hover... so only good for the search part of S&R. a wench would have to be a snatch and pull! Now that could be a 007 moment!
A thought about floats on a gyro: I put floats on my Bumblebee. worked good in flat calm wind ... scared the beegees out of me when the first gust hit. Took the floats off and put tundra tires on. Worked much better , much safer with almost as good access and no worries about how to secure your rig while exploring.
