Out doing my favorite thing....checking out the farms....and watching combines harvesting. Here is a farmer out safely combining his cornfield after some aerial RAF help.

Yesterday....this farmer called and asked if I could look for a trampoline that had blown out in the middle of his 160 acre cornfield. I had a mission...and away I went. I immediately saw it.....had my GPS tracing my path....and flew right over the trampoline....then turned around and flew over it again. I then "waypointed" the intersection of these two traces on my GPS screen. The unit is built into my dash ..but is held in place with velcro. I removed the unit....went to the farmer...and off we went walking in the middle of his cornfield. The GPS was fixed on the waypoint...and it took us right to it. It was only 13 feet off. The farmer could not believe it.

Stan, nice public relations move! You should write up a brief blurb for the local weekly:

Them's handy gadgets ay Stan.
Once when I had a quiet engine over the mountains I "marked" the spot on the GPS before walk'n the 20km home.[naturaly I landed safly coz I woz fly'n a GYRO.]
And it's a good thing I did too,coz it would'v taken a week to find it otherwise.
The GPS took me streight to it,through thick scrub and lots of dry creeks.Easy.

Hey...trampolines and gyros...is there a new jump takeoff technology here somewhere?

What is the most unusual way you have used your gyro.
Some years ago I met a guy here in South Louisiana that
Was using his Gyro to drive Great Blue Herons and Egrets
out of his Crawfish ponds. Ron

Ron: I havent done too many unusual things...I did airmail some stairway plans to a client this year...I literally flew over his place and dropped them from my RAF. :D

I checked on the progress of a house out in the country once...to see if it was being drywalled. I did one tight circle around it and could see the drywall hangers looking out the window. They had surprised looks on their faces.
