Louisiana Fall Chapter Meet

PRA Chapter 20, The Pelican State Rotor Club, is having it's fall chapter gyro meet.

Place: Allen Parish Airport (L42) Oakdale, LA
When: 13th of November.

Dang, Rudy! I can't get there from where I live. It'd be easier and about as quick for me to go to ROC. Who lives there? That's 337 miles from my house and no telling how many stops.

What happened to the fly-in that was to be at Thibodeaux Field?

The event at Thibodaux Field should be early next year, if my information is correct.

We could not get in touch with Manuel about Marksville, he has been working out of town a lot.

Tommy Dubroc lives near Oakdale & it seemed like a central Louisiana location & he is willing to be the host.

Rudy, I'm just funnin with ya. I'll just have to leave one day early to get there on time. :D Will it just be Saturday and Sunday?

It will be mostly on Saturday, but many will spend the night & go back home Sunday.

Tommy said that the airport has a pilots lounge with a shower in the restroom.
So you can tent camp if you like. He said they have a few RV electrical hookups.

The only problem is we won't have the use of a hanger. I'm going to see about getting a canopy or two for cover.

Chuck, I live about 45 minutes from the airport and you are welcome to stay at my house. Its just my son and I here and the house is incomplete but it is dry, airconditioned and heated. We have washer and dryer so you and landry and we can make sure you have clean sheets.
