Does anybody have any knowledge of a fatal gyroplane accident that occured in the 1990's.

My wife has challenged me to researching information about a possible crash.

Here is the information that I have. I am not sure how accurate that it is, but here goes:

Possible pilot name: Charles Hamilton
Occurred in: Iowa or Illinois

What I am looking for is facts on the case. Specifically what happened and what aircraft was being flown.

Thanks in advance for helping me with this research project.

Stay safe.

Go to the ntsb data base. There you will find a list of accidents listed in yearly form.

I am very familiar with the first and last accidents linked to. Neither of the victims were named Charles Hamilton.

The first gyro (Bensen / MAC style) was a real hot rod, you may remember it from fly-ins as the Black Bensen, with body pod & a water cooled McCulloch.

The last accident was a student of Farrington's in Paducah. He decided to solo himself.
