For your engine to run good you should try and find a tuned exaust. Your engine looks like a two cycle and it will perform better with the right exaust.
Looks like your on your way, good luck and send me some pics of China from the air.
Do you speak Chinese or Cantonese? I ask becouse my translator will make it better to understand.

Kss1000e an explanation of why it would help to have an "HS" or Horizontal Stabilizer. Horizontal stabs on the tail with a slight negative incidence may prevent a power push over or help correct pilot induced oscillation, a problems encounter with new pilots over correcting. Congratulations, Be safe, take your time, and take those pictures.

Are the rotor head cheek plates clamped to the mast??

Mr. Dong.
I think you need to be recognized for your efforts, tenacity and accomplishments.
I can only imagine how hard you have worked to locate and acquire the components
you have!
Our sport needs more people like you!
Please be safe.

I translated what you said to him, told than he should install a HS on his gyro to keep safe.
I think this guy use some translate tools to post in there, I can speek and type Chinese, if somo one want to say something to him, I would like to translate to him.

I like your knee-action main landing gear!
Helipaddy asked if the rotor head cheek plates are only clamped to the mast?? Do you have bolts going through the cheek plates and the mast tube? The cheeks plates could loosen and slip-off the mast tube if there are no bolts.

Is it just my bad eyes, or does that prop look like it is on backwards?
RotoPlane

Unless that engine turns CW, you are correct splashdown....prop is on backwards.

Also there is no diagonal brazing on the axle tube. And yes, the prop is backwards. Is there any castering on the front wheel?

autogyro你好, 你是中国吗?
kss1000e:
综合了大家的意见,你的旋翼机有以下几个问题,请注意:
1. 要安装一个负攻角的水平安定面,以保证在飞行时避免操作过度导致飞机翻跟头;
2. 旋翼头看上去是夹在桅杆上的,应该用螺栓穿过桅杆,以免松动后造成旋翼头脱离;
3. 螺旋桨好像装反了,除非你的发动机是反转的。要不,就不能正常向前推进;
4. 结构上应该再加强一下,在桅杆的左右应该加交叉的加强筋;
5. 你的主着陆轮减震设计的很有特色。
以上建议请考虑。
I summarized all above said and told to him using Chinese, hope the guy consider our suggestion carefully.
In China, Ultralight aircraft, such as Powered paraglider which net weight is less than 116kg, fuel is less than 20 litles and max flight speed is less than 100km/h , does not need a certificate of airworthiness. I think, autogyro must need a airworthiness. In China, some guys fly autogyro without any aertification, it is illegal activities.

Propellers are not equipped with anti-, as well as I would like to know the rotary-wing aircraft take-off method?

116 kg weight, 100 kph max speed, and 20 Liters is very very close to our ultralight rules. 116 kg = 255.2 vs our 254 100 kph=60 mph vs our 63 mph and 20 liters is a bit more than 5 gallons.

I would say there is a few things that need attention if you ask me...What do you say?
1. Muffler is loose.
2. When he moved the cycle the head didn't move.
3. The cheek plates on the rotor head are not going through the mast.

It looks like a lot of excess plates and not enough of braces. What is holding the seat up. The rudder is very small. I hope he is safe with it. Best of luck.

Well he did one thing right. He came to the forum and has a lot of eyes on his gyro with the opportunity to get, and hopefully use, a lot of very good feedback and suggestions.
If he understands just that, then he has made a huge leap forward in getting his machine off the ground and into the air safely.
I think he is working in a place where there probably isn't a lot of help around and I wish him well with his endevour.:yo:

I'm not here to judge either but just saying things might help someone out that they think is fine! Kind of like our H/S........:Cry:
But we got it right with a little help from others......I call it growing pains...

I have seen gyros not too different from this one, back when I got started in gyros down in florida.
Last time I saw something like this, was at Wauchula about 2 years ago when the " Governer " showed up with his gyro creation

it is easy for those of us that have been building and flying gyros for many years to pass judgement on a gyro that is built by a man is in a country that is not into gyros so that machine is the cutting edge of gyro art in china and with time and practise he will be one of us. It may be a good idea for a page on the forum with basic gyro info such as where masts should and shouldn't be drilled, what material is used , how many degrees of rudder and head travel and such, this way people in the far corners of the earth could at least have a starting point and if it makes it safer then it would be worth doing.

I don't find it easy to pass judgment at all. I wrestle with should I point out something that may hurt someone, or do I encourage the person to continuing with what he has and hope he discovers it before he gets hurt. I don't want to hurt the person before he even flys or discourage him from going after his dream.
I do find it easier to point out the same mistakes that I had to learn, in hopes that it will save them the learning experience I went through to learn it.
I hope my post do not sound condescending, they are not meant to be.

I am also not putting anyone down for what they though might be the way. and I am in no way a expert at this either. I only like to point some of the things out in case the person building does not what he or she is doing. If the person get hurt or worse than I would feel bad for with hold my comments......I hope is all I can say....:focus:

Ron, I thought he was at Mentone, and yes, several of us tried to talk to him as tactfully as possible. Which is much easier to do face to face than in print.
I usually feel a responsibility to at least try to nudge a newbie toward a safer configuration so they have a chance survive long enough to "develop". I'm thankful that others helped me get past problems that were obvious to those with experience, but not to me at the time.
dong,
Please accept our recommendations as concern for your safety, not ridicule.
