Looks good, Sam, except for the unbearable task of having to step up to board.

I anxiously await Birdy’s test drive.

I would claw my way in if I had to. What a beautiful machine. Can't you strip it down to the 450 kg or at least 560 kg European weight limit?

Kai.

No requirement to step climb or claw your way into this machine.
The R22 style cyclic control also helps greatly.
Here is a pic of me 5.7ft standing in front.

It’s pretty obvious, Sam, that I’ll never make it as a standup comedian.

Chuck, those of us who enjoy your subtle sarcasm probably are bored with comedy clubs, so maybe you're right.

Looks as though 802 has the horizontal tail plane more appropriately positioned to minimize torque roll vs. power setting.

Hi CB
JUST ONE OF THE MANY IMPROVEMENTS OVER MINE. LATEST UNIT BEING BUILD NOW HAS A FULL ALLOY TAIL, WHICH WILL HELP TO LOWER OVERALL WEIGHT.
G-802 ALSO HAS VARIABLE CAM MOTOR WHICH HAS IMPROVED CLIMB AND CRUISE PERFORMANCE. MAX CLIMB 2 UP IS 900FPM. 1 UP 1500FPM. Cruise 2 up is 3900 rpm. This is a vast inprovement over mine.
will keep all posted.

G'Day All
Here is the latest video of me flying my RCA KRUZA by GT Gyroplanes.
It covers some of the different flight maneuvers of gyroplanes, and the level of stability they are capable of. I guess this is why we love them so much:peace:
I took it all from my new Eagle Eye HD mini camcorder mounted to the undercarriage leg.
Enjoy!!!!

Back in the beginning Birdy, the first time I alighted with the engine still running in my old Bensen/Mac was a new and scary experience.

The drill at the time was to fly until the Mac locked up.

I'm sure the boys would be more than happy to install your 914 into the next KRUZA. Just give them a call and have a chat. Pretty simple actualy :yo:
My EJ25 is still yet to miss a beat. Of the 4 different aircraft Ive owned and flown, its the most reliable component of all. The new HEART for the 2011 KRUZA is a 1.6lt fuel injected turbo charged Suzuki 4 banger which is looking realy good thus far.

Let me know its record after a coupla thousand hours, then ill hava chat bout it.
Till then, ill stick to rotax.
[ 5000 odd hours n counting, never missed a beat.]

Mate, a 5000hr Rotax 914 without ever being rebuilt is fantastic, may even be a record! Although I recon the old girl (gyro) would be ready for an overhaul:D

Does the nose wheel have any spring to it?

Does the nose wheel have any spring to it?

The pictures before are of the 2008 RCA KRUZA G-762, & 2009 KRUZA. 2009 KRUZA had a fiberglass arm with full castering front wheel. New 2011 KRUZA has a nose wheel with inbuilt shock absorber. Very smooth and very forgiving. What you can see is the bottom part of the shock!!!

I ment 5000 hours on rotaxs Sam, not all on one rotax.
Not sure id push a 914 turbo unit much past 2000 hours.
Tis along walk home from anywhere round ere.
