Headset wiring schematics

I know this may sound stupid but is there a standard, coloured wiring schematics for aviation headsets or does it differ between the manufacturers? My flight school has a cupboard full of different headsets that dont work and I'm sure its loose wiring from abuse. I'd like to get them working again. Anyone out there able to help me?

This gives the standard connection information. The wires can be any color so you will need a meter.

Thanks guys. I just needed schematics showing which jacks were for the headset speakers and which for the mics.

At the bottom of this page there is a link to download the Schematic. This shows how the two plugs are wired. this is a standard wiring.
