Been too lazy to download the pics off my camera for the last two weeks, but got around to it tonight. Here is some pics I took two Sundays ago when I took my wife Shannon and my Son Kasey to the Anson County Airport for one of those hundred dollar Hamburgers..

Then last Sunday I took two of my Friends - Tim and Mark - over to Stateline Ultraport to visit with the good folks over there. It was interesting to go into a 1400 foot long grass strip at nearly gross weight in the Pacer, but we did okay! The strip is seen in one of these pics from the air, it runs down between two rows of metal hangars.

This plane has sat untouched in this same spot for as long as I have been flying, at least 10 years! The prop Rotted off and fell on the ground, we picked up pieces of it and stuck them back into the spinner for this pic! - If you look at the photo carefully, you can see the rest of the prop pieces on the ground in front of the plane.... What a shame too cause it is a nice two seat little airplane.
Also saw Gary Neal out flying a student in his RAF. Gary recently got his CFI ticket from Jim Mayfield and is now offering instruction in his modified RAF.

Then Today I had Kasey to myself for the day. So... We got up early this morning and took off bound for Stateline again, This time was for a fly in Breakfast. Got there in time to have a wonderful southern Breakfast - some of you probably don't even know what Grits are.... ;)

a couple more from Stateline this morning. As you can see in one pic, Kasey fell right asleep while we were flying to another airport where my friend Mike could fuel up his Skybolt before we flew on to the next party. Last shot is me with my new FM Radio Hearing protectors on Jamming to the Odies station!

On the ground at Shelby in the first two pics. Kasey sleep in the plane the whole time we were there while Mike got fuel. Then a pic of Mike ready to get in to go - took it cause it made his butt look big and droopy! :D
Then a few shots of Mike and another friend Ernie doing Rolls and inverted flight as we flew from Shelby to Long Island Airpark for another fly in that was going on today. Was cool to be flying my old mans plane - my Pacer! - alongside that beautiful Skybolt and Ernies Pitts.

So then here we are at Long Island airpark for their fly in. Just heard about it this morning but apparently many others also knew about it. There was a great turn out for such a lowkey fly in.

Last shots. Of course Kasey had a long day and on the way home from the Fly in here fell asleep again! The other two pics, one is Concord Mills Mall which is a HUGE mall but of course looks small from the air. Shannon loves to go to that mall! And then Lowes Motor Speedway, where Nascar holds a few races each year.

Nice pictures Ron...Kasey is a lucky fellow being exposed to flying so young.

This just blows my mind. Shannon let you take the little one for joyride around the state. That kid has now got more air miles on his diaper than I have on mine !!!!
Now I am jealous.
That is way too cool though. You know what you are doing though, Casey will need the sound of an airplane to get to sleep. The neighbors wont like that at all.

PS where is the long island airpark ?

I found one good thing bout the never ending cabin hop caused by my old RAF blades, they took only 5 mins to rock my daughter to sleep. :D

I think I will scalp the next person who misspells my sons name!!! ;) Especially you Jonathan cause you do every time!!!! :)
Long Island airpark is at the northern most part of Lake Norman Charlotte N.C. Matter of fact, taking off from runway 5, right off the end of the runway is the lake. So you gotta have good brakes!
