The FAA released the aircraft yesterday and I was able to look it over and take some pictures.
1 .The radiator hose was intact and not leaking
2. It was determined to be a engine failure in flight
3. Cyl #1 72#, Cyl #2 65#, Cyl #3 10#, Cyl #4 0#.
4. The RAF is not totaled and repair parts list is underway
5. Right side landing gear destroyed
6. Vertical stab upper 1/3 cutoff
7. Gyro came to rest on the left side after the bounce damageing cabin and Horz Stab
8. Rotor Blades 1 damaged 1 destroyed
9. 1 Warp Drive prop blade missing
10 . Pilot did try to flare but may have had low rotor speed ?

Overall the Aircraft was not as badily damaged as reported by the Airport rescue Dept.

Hi Dave. Long time, no hear.

There have been cases where the crank shaft has broken on one type of Subaru engine. Rick Brown and another man from New York (who's name escapes me right now) both had cranks break while in-flight. I'm assuming you did compression checks on the engine by the numbers you posted, yes or no?
