I'm working on weight and balance of a Dominator and need a ballpark figure for the weight of the Dominator pod and 24 foot Dragon Wings.
Does anyone have numbers for me?
Thanks,
Eric

I asked Ernie in Mentone and I think he said around 24lbs, but I'm not sure, maybe was 14lbs

Thanks Padraic & Scott.
So the DW's are about 43 lbs.
The pod is either 24 or 45 lbs. Does anybody else have an estimate for the pod?
Thanks,
Eric

I just weighed my pod incl windshield and dash panel on my bathroom scale. It weighed 20 lbs.
The dragon wing hubbar incl bolts weighed 6 lbs.
each dragon wing blade weighs 18 lbs. This is for a 24 ft set of dragon wing blades. Overall length of each blade is 11' 6" with a one ft hub bar. When you bolt the wings on the total is 24 ft.
The complete rotorhead assesembly incl prerotator gear and brake and cross bar to attach the control tubes to weighs 12 lbs.

Eric,
don't forget to average in the guages/instruments you plan to put into the pod.

Thanks John that helps a lot. I modeled the Rotor Head (using CAD) from the plans. Now I'll be able to check the model against the actual numbers you have provided. I haven't yet modeled the rotor brake.
Mark... I will weigh the instruments I removed from my Mini-Max and add that to the 20 lbs provided by John.
Thanks again,
Eric
