John,
I saw several on ebay a few weeks ago and they went for cheap prices >$500.

careful with the use ones. king/narco tend to burn out the output transistor. Garmin are lighter and when it comes to repair they are easier and cheaper. Recondition ones or on ebay with a yellow tag is a good place.
remember to buy the right coax cable. dont use normal 50 ohm radio shack coak. WIll not pass the xponder certification check

My next door hangar-rat neighbor sent a Narco radio in for repair to Narco and he is P.O.-ed. He keeps getting the runaround and hasn't seen his radio for a couple months.
