Has anyone looked at the ad on ebay for a RAF 170?
Is this a old single seat RAF??
Can it have the CLT changed on it to make it safe?

I sent him an email to see if he had any pictures. RAF made a RAF1000, and Don Parham made a RF170 (I think).
I wonder if this guy isn't mixing them up. The pictures should tell the tale.
Check out the Bensen for sale:

Take a good look at the pictures, and spot the design flaws.

I took a look at the rf170 made by Don, on his website. I bet that is what that guy has. I have never seen a three place gyro around here. Well guess we need more input from the gyro experts here.

Mike Gaspard,
I think you are correct. Don Parham built the RFI 170 & RFI 190. The gyroplane that Manuel Mayeau is getting is the two seat tandem conversion of the RFI 190, which is a three seat.
My numbers of the aircraft may be off. I'm going by what Manuel told me about a year ago.

I had a RF-150. Two seat tandem. I think the 170 just had a wider back seat that two skinny people could fit on. Good flying gyros.

Looks like 3 seat machine. Very Similar to David Holmes Puff. Also the picture looks like it was taken at Wauchula.
To judge only by the pictures, it looks like this gyro has a high thrust line and undersized h stab. It also looks like it would be unstable in yaw when flown with the doors on. It could be made better though with a tall tail having an adequate down-pitched stab to counter engine pitching moment, and a larger v. stab/rudder combination, just like Puff's.
