I found this link that talks about the Falco, a high performance homebuilt fixed wing aircraft. When reading it just replace the word Falco with Gyro and this article has a lot meaning to us.

This seems to be where Falcon is heading. They'll sell you liability insurance if the kitmaker has satisfied their questions about the design, you have the private gyro rating, and ytou have received factory-approved training. So far, only three companies have availed themselves of the opportunity to qualify, including one not generally considered among the safer designs.
