After muffler

Okay, you guys set me straight on my carb question, now I have one about the exhaust.

How much does an after-muffler quiet down a Rotax 503, and does it rob much/any power?

It too will likely require a change to the jetting, a small loss of power and to be honest not much of a reduction in noise. The noise makers on a Rotax in the intake and the prop.

The best quietener (is that a word?) as Ron said is the induction silencer as well asa prop suited to the application.
