Bensen Subaru EA81

Hi All,
I am rebuilding my Bensen gyro using a Subaru EA81 DD engine, as this is an engine change from the original McCulloch I must apply to the Aviation authorities here in Ireland before the change can be completed.
I would like to show examples of this type of aircraft with the application.
If I had 3 Bensen Subaru powered registrations this would be of great help.
If anyone out there could help me I would appreciate that.

Hi,
If i was you i would check this out with the IAA. or the ILAS As i understand the authorities are compleatly different with mods and trying to find someone on here who as done this convertion would be of no help to you as you are governed by the irish laws as above!
You Dont come under the CAA! changing the engine as you are wanting to do would have to go under modifications through the IAA. or the ILAS there is a guy who is from ireland he may be able to help you try (HELIPADDY)he is full of information! Good luck The subaru is a nice motor i have the EA 81 but this is going through BAR SEC T its no help to you!

Hi,
The application will be going through ILAS (Irish Light Aircraft Society) formerly known as SAAC (Society Amateur Aircraft Constructors) and they will forward it to the IAA. 3 examples of registered Bensens using Subaru EA81s DD would help.
