Falcon Gauge Sensitive Altimeter 10-044 from aircraft spruce. Bought in May 2009
Can anyone tell me where I can find this screw?
I have contacted Falcon and have gotten the run around from a lady named Amy

A e-mail from the people who sell them!

Hello Amy I was wondering if you had a chance to send the screw to me yet?

I have been trying for 3 month to get on from Falcon. The don't have spare parts. I told them I don't need a spare one.
I will have to take it out of the pod and to the store with me.

I am going to pull the altimeter out of the pod today so I can stop by lowes or HD. I sure I will find one some where.

Will it work without the screw? The above shows how to reset one. I had to do this on my airplane's altimeter. I cant remeber if the screw was custom made to hold the other screw or not. My knob is spring loaded so as long as you dont pull on it it will stay adjusted.

What happen was the #1 screw fell out and I just want a replacement screw to put back in to keep the damp air out!

That's a specialty screw you're not gonna find locally.

MAYBE at an avionics shop at one of your local airports.

You could use a piece of heavy safety wire thru the hole to hold the side pin/screw in place, then seal it with a dab of silicon. But if you don't pull on the knob, the settings won't change.

If you had a GA aircraft, you'ld probably end up replacing the gauge.

Talk to Peggy at Falcon and she said that she would send on out to me. But when I got her letter she had put the screw inside of a plastic small zip bag, it was gone from the post office running the letter through the machine had squeezed the screw through the letter and out it came.

Just my luck!
