Mike,

Is the J2 airworthy? When was last annual? By whom?

That J-2 was sold a while ago to a heli mechanic near San Diego (Peter Cox).

No. It's in his hangar at Oceanside. He was scheduled to have Si come out and check him out in it, but he apparently changed his mind and told Si (and me) that he was waiting until he finished getting his heli CFI rating. It's been numerous months now.

It's been numerous months now. Don't know why he bought it, as he owns an older Robinson. A heli would be great around here. I've seen hundreds of places in the mountains where it would be cool to land where no else can get to. I'd find mountain streams and try panning for gold. There were very large gold mines here years back.
